PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Siphonic outlets are designed to reduce the entry of air into the system. If the amount of air in the pipe reaches more than 40% of its volume, the siphonic action will stop. To minimize the air entering the system, a baffle plate is usually fitted over the orifice of the outlet. This not only reduces the amount of air pulled into the outlet opening but also prevents the formation of vortices that would otherwise draw air into the system rapidly. The best outlets have been tested and approved by the British Board of Agrément. Outlets should also be designed to easily accommodate the waterproof membrane of the roof, which comes in many forms.

Siphon Rainwater Outlet

As the core product of the system, it adopts a unique anti-eddy current device to evenly disperse rainwater before it flows into the outlet. This destroys the conditions for the formation of eddies and ensures a state of full tube flow by isolating air from entering the system. Siphons of rainwater funnel can achieve full flow even at smaller depths, effectively reducing the depth of roof water and alleviating roof load.

 

Hydraulic Computation

In the siphon system, rapid discharge of rainwater occurs in a state of full flow. Therefore, the design must ensure that each outlet displacement is consistent. Accurate calculation of the loss of each outlet is necessary to maintain consistent drainage status.

 

Height of the Stand Pipe

The siphon system leverages the difference in potential energy between the height of the roof and the ground. Water flow accelerates in the stand pipe and drives the suction action of the hanging pipe. As a result, there is a negative pressure in the hanging pipe, which produces a siphon effect and rapidly discharges the rainwater.
